MLK Day of Service
Monday, January 20
11am-2pm
Winnetka Community House
Join us at the Volunteer Center's annual MLK Day of Service. All students and adults are welcome!
Come and go whenever it's convenient for you, and move through the activities at your own pace. Volunteers will provide direction and assistance at each station.
Sign up if you plan to attend so that we know how many D35 families will be there.
If you can't be there, but would like to contribute, please consider donating socks for the unhoused via our Amazon wishlist or collection bins at South, West or Central January 13 - 17.
Event stations include:
- Making dog toys for Orphans of the Storm
- Assembling toiletry bags for Grace Network
- Preparing gift bags for pediatric cancer patients with Holiday Heroes
- Making cards for elderly and infirm individuals
- Crafting door hangers for residents of retirement communities
- Creating fleece blankets for Betsy's Blankets
